Welcome to Radha Yoga!

A Kripalu Bhakta's approach to Hatha, Nada, & Jana Yoga!

Swami Kripalu, pictured above, is a continual source of inspiration in my daily practice of the Spiritual Science & Art of Yoga. I hold the honor of being a Kripalu certified Yoga teacher, Dance Kinetics teacher, and a very grateful member of the Annual Saptah Chanting team at Kripalu Center " a nonprofit educational organization whose mission is to teach the art and science of yoga", www.kripalu.org. Kirpalu Center is the largest Yoga institute in the United States, offering daily Kripalu Yoga classes, workshops, and a vast array of diverse programs issuing from numerous Yogic lineages and spirtual pathways.

The foundation of Kripalu Yoga, amidst caring attention to safe & practical alignment, is Breathe, Relax, Feel, Watch, and Allow. This nautral peaceful state leads to free flowing asana (postures) coupled with pranayama (breath work); supported by Jana Yoga (an ecclectic study of universal spiritually uplifting quotes); and the comforting soul food of Kirtan (the healing & harmonious Yoga of Sound).

Join us here in our comfy cozy studio!

Or I will happily bring private Kripalu Yoga classes and/or Kirtan sessions to you, your friends, family, students and co-workers! I am ready, able, and willing to travel to your place of work, school, studio, or home. My experience includes typical extraordinary studio classes, yoga in healthclubs, group privates, standard private classes, and I have also taught in a large corporate environment, as well as at Drew University and Delaware Twp school.

Kripalu Yoga serves as a wholistic approach in "yoking" our inherent divine nature (Yoga literally translates as yoking the divine). In this sadhana we rediscover, uncover, and refine our inner Strength and Centeredness tapping into the source of free flowing Grace in motion both on and off the Yoga mat. Yoga is an ancient spiritual practice not a religion. It is an art and science compatible with all faiths, offering practical tools in the daily walk of realizing our common at-one-ment with the Divine, or if you will with the peace and healing light within. Thus in Yoga, in union, we are aligned or tuned into the ability to breath through and heal whatever comes up in thought, or in life, attempting to claim otherwise.

Sound familiar? It is. Love's healing waters are universal leading each of us to exactly what we need in every given moment. This path of, "Sanatana Dharma, the way of eternal Truth" belongs to everyone, whether we cherish Truth contained within a given inspirational text, the metaphysical scripture of prana coursing through a Yoga posture, the comfort and power of embracing a sacred ritual, the monumental sweetness of the silence before, behind, and after a vibrationally chanted Aum, Amen, Dhun, hymn, all of it mixed together Smile or....!

Keeping it simple, when asked about Kripalu Yoga. Swami Kripalu responded by saying, "The uniqueness of Kripalu Yoga is that postures, pranayama, and meditation are all happening simutaneously - not seperately"

These three aspects of Yoga; pranayama, postures, and meditation, all happened so well together that in my very first experience of Kripalu Yoga (a weekend workshop with Yoganand at Kripalu Center entitled, "Yoga The Mystical Path"), I found myself completely at Aum (home) within me.  My deep love of this practice and the ever near and dear presence of Swami Kripalu birthed an immediate acknowledgement of a need to share these spiritually liberating tools with others. And so, shortly thereafter I began my teacher trainings.

Over these last eleven years I have had the great privilige of visiting Kripalu Center no less than 34 times and I also have the great privilige of being part of our monthly Satsang at Muktidham, where Bapuji lived while in the U.S.. All are welcome!  Satsang is the first Sunday of every month at 3pm.  Please visit www.kripalvanandayogainstitute.org for more information.

Over and over again, the practice of Kripalu Yoga brings me home to that inner wellspring of peace, comfort, and vitality regardless of the yearly, monthly, daily, and sometimes even momentary seeming shifts that appear to all of us in our unique and shared walks of life.

Remember that right where you are in this very moment you are standing on holy ground, so Breath into the souls of your feet, Relax-note the grace of your surroundings, Feel whatever it is that you need to feel, Watch-don't get stuck in the story, and Allow the Divine Light within you to lead you both on and off your Yoga mat.
